Restoration of voting rights for felons and effect of the electoral college. Restoration of voting rights would have you look at its impact on turnout (and possibly electoral outcomes).

The effect of the electoral college could either focus on voters or campaigns.

INSTRUCTIONS

Each student will write a 5-6 page paper on a reading topic in the syllabus. If you are even one line under 5 pages or over six pages, you will receive an automatic, non-negotiable ten point penalty. Papers must be typed (papers that are not typed will not be accepted) in 12 point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins. You must number your pages. Failure to do so will result in an automatic, nonnegotiable five point penalty. The paper should address what you believe are the strengths and weaknesses of the literature on the topic. Do not just summarize what you read.You should cast the paper as an assessment of our knowledge on the topic or some aspect of it.

Sources: You will need to cite a minimum of eight sources for this paper. You must use academic sources. The only sources you may use are journal articles from academic journals, books, or book chapters. You are not allowed to use internet sites, encyclopedias (either in print or online), or any sources besides the three listed above. If you use sources that are not allowed, you will receive a failing grade for this assignment. If you have any question on whether a source is allowed, you should ask me ahead of time.Citing Sources: You must cite your sources using in-text citations following APA style.
