SUMMARY

This assignment is to be done in groups of two. Group members are required to work equally on the Assignment and to proof read it before handing it in. This assignment is worth 10% of your final grade. To complete this Assignment, you must use the GSS 2016 database that is on the CRIM 2103 folder on the M:Drive. This data set can be found at the following pathway:

You must use different variables for each section and different variables than those included in the lab book chapters or those reviewed in class during lab sessions.

Your group will hand in one copy of each of the following documents, each with a cover page that includes both student names and numbers:

  • SPSS Output Document- see table below
  • Final Assignment 2 Report- see table below

SPSS Output Document

Final Assignment 2 Report

This document is a simple print out (directly from SPSS) of all the SPSS output that you performed for Assignment 2. It should be organized as per the required ‘sections’ and include all highlighted requirements, as specified for each section below. This will allow me to evaluate the accuracy of your Final Assignment 2 Report according to the original statistics you produced.

This should be completed in MS Word. This represents your ‘final and polished’ report. It is meant to represent a report that you would hand into a Supervisor if you were an analyst responsible for quantitative data analysis.

Please note that this Final Assignment 2 Report should NOT INCLUDE ANY DIRECT SPSS OUTPUT,. You are required to extract the pertinent statistics/information from the SPSS output and insert those statistics/information into a table you create in MS Word (called a ‘summary table’). Below each ‘summary table’, you will provide a written summary interpreting the statistics to your reader.

  • Run a frequency distribution of the original variable
